Counting Down to Dreamforce!

This article was published on May 26, 2020

This week we were pleased to announce that NewVoiceMedia will be a gold sponsor of Dreamforce – the world’s largest vendor-led technology event. And with less than five weeks to go and 120,000 attendees expected, it’s certainly shaping up to be massive.

In its 11th year, the Salesforce event, held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, sums up all that is exciting about the cloud industry. Here are five reasons why it’s such a big deal, and why you should definitely join us there!

1. Lots to learn

With over 1,250 expert-led sessions, you’ll find out about all the latest product updates, check out new technology and learn how to connect to your customers in new ways. There will be keynote talks from Marissa Mayer (CEO of Yahoo) and Sheryl Sandberg (COO of Facebook), as well as lots of focused sessions you can learn from and participate in. If you go to a conference, you should come back with at least one new idea or strategy that you can start work on straight away, so we’ll be attending with an open mind and an empty notebook! I am really looking forward to the sessions I’ve booked into.

Unfortunately it’s not possible to physically attend all 1000+ sessions, but they are all posted online after Dreamforce so you can virtually attend as many as you like!

2. Networking opportunities

Dreamforce offers incredible networking opportunities, both in person and online – you never know what valuable contacts you’ll make over the four days. Well, where else could you make 100,000 new ones each day?! With everyone attending for the same reasons, there’s always a good opportunity to start a conversation – whether queuing for coffee or as you’re heading into your next session.

We’ll be Tweeting throughout the event @NewVoiceMedia so do follow us, and join the conversation by using the #df13 tag.

Dreamforce also provides attendees with the Dreamforce App – a customised Salesforce Org where attendees can network, subscribe to sessions, join groups and post up questions and discussions well in advance. Ahead of time you can meet people with similar interests and get meetings and get-togethers booked up that would never have happened without the app.

3. Mark Benioff’s keynote

We’re really looking forward to Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff’s opening speech, which promises to set the tone not just for Dreamforce, but for the whole industry. Last year, Benioff delivered the latest vision for cloud computing in a keynote entitled ‘Business is Social’. The message was loud and clear: cloud computing is here and it's making business social and mobile.

4. Announcements

Whether it’s breaking news or new product showcases, many an announcement has been made at Dreamforce over the years. The event will mark the official US launch of our innovative Workforce Management (WFM) solution ContactWorld Perform, which is rapidly gaining traction with our customers. We’ve completely re-thought workforce management to write, build and deliver a solution that doesn’t have the pain points associated with other WFM solutions. And we can’t wait to tell you more about it.

5. Fun

Dreamforce oozes fun and excitement, with a succession of evening parties to complement the days’ events. This year, the Grammy Award winning band Green Day will be headlining the Dreamforce Gala which will be a definite must-see! And I can’t conclude this list without mentioning the treats in store at the Cloud Expo – visit our stand W222 for some very unique giveaways that we think you’ll love.
