Vonage Is Citrix Ready Verified

Vonage is proud to announce that we have recently received full Citrix Ready verification status for both of our communications solutions: Vonage Business Communications (VBC) and Vonage Contact Center (VCC). Learn how this status can help with your VDI workflow, virtualised audio, and global coverage.

Citrix Virtual Desktops

Citrix Virtual Desktops provide virtualisation solutions (VDI environments) that give IT control of virtual machines, applications, and security plus anywhere access for any device. End-users can now enjoy applications and desktops independently of their device’s operating system and interface. Virtual desktop technology also delivers on scalability, security, flexibility, and ease of deployment.

Vonage customers, particularly in today’s remote work setting, often ask if our solutions can operate in a VDI environment. Since Citrix is a leader of the VDI space, we decided to run our products through the Citrix Ready verification process. With several existing customers already using Vonage solutions in a Citrix VDI environment, this verification will provide added peace of mind.

Virtualised Audio

By definition, our VBC and VCC offerings are highly audio-centric, which can be a challenge in virtualised environments. The Citrix Ready verification testing took place in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service – Citrix Cloud, which helps to securely deliver and manage virtual apps and desktops centrally, across multiple resource locations with a great user experience. The testing included real-time audio, using the embedded WebRTC softphone for VCC and redirected audio through Vonage configured desk phones for VBC. The results achieved business grade audio quality and passed all internal testing standards. Further tests were successfully carried out using a desk phone for inbound and outbound calling, transferring, conferencing, and changing agent presence status, all of which passed with flying colors. Team Messaging and SMS Messaging were also tested for VBC with no issues.

Global Coverage

Because so many Vonage customers have agents and phone users around the world, it was important to conduct extensive testing in North America, UK and EMEA, and Asia Pacific to ensure full coverage. The results were irrefutable, with no issues found in any of the regions.
